Amazing Animal Ambassadors

Meet 7-8 of our live Animal Ambassadors from around the world as we discover how important each animal is to its habitat. We’ll get eyeball-to-eyeball with a chinchilla, a snake, frogs, lizards, turtles and more. Children will be amazed as they watch tree frogs from the rainforest, or from as far away as Australia, climb up a wall! They will squeal with delight as Argentina, the South American chinchilla, sits upon their shoulders. The birthday child, who will have special opportunities to interact with the animals, will learn to feed a banana to a baby tortoise! We encourage hands-on participation, so all birthday guests will get hands-on time with some of the Ambassadors. Our programs are age-appropriate, fun-filled and educational! For ages 2 & older. Animal presentation: $275.00* for up to 15 children. Additional children can be accommodated; please contact us.

Behind the Scenes Birthday Bash

What does it take to care for our Animal Ambassadors? Investigate the life of an animal care specialist as we go behind-the-scenes in Animal Embassy. Discover what it takes to feed and keep our ambassadors healthy. The birthday child and friends will get to explore the Animal Embassy exhibit, then participate in a hands-on program with 7-8 of our incredible live Ambassadors, such as Sully the Sulcata Tortoise, Grumpy the Nile Monitor Lizard and Argentina the Chinchilla. Kids will discover what different animals eat as they help to make a salad for an iguana, watch as the birthday child feeds a banana to a tortoise or perhaps observe as an Alligator eats a little sushi. (Specific animal interactions depend largely on feeding schedules, and animal behavior, as well as the age and number of children.)  Maximum 15-24 children. Presentation fee: $500.00*.

Animal presentations are 45-60 minutes.

*There is an additional fee of $200.00 for Stamford Museum & Nature Center classroom rental, (where you can serve any food that you would like to bring for your guests). Rental must be available from the museum for an Animal Embassy on-site program.
